And here it is, the new year. 2011 is upon us and we really only have just under two years left before the world ends (if you believe in that, lets just say I’m not looking to make any long term investments any time soon).
The end of 2010 was very bumpy for me. I had started a new job and I had no idea if I was going to be any good at it. I had moved in with my wonderful boyfriend and our two mutual friends and I got one hell of a chest infection just before Christmas, as well as a worry and concern for the New Year period itself.
But moving on, it’s 2011 and I am sure I have a vast array of awesome things heading my way. In 2010 I had a New Years Resolution of not drinking Coca-Cola all year and I did that. I don’t know if I felt better for it but I had my first drink of it yesterday and it tasted bad. Certainly not how I remember it being.
This years resolutions are as follows:
- Cut out the fizzy drinks completely.
- Stop chewing my fingers.
- Finish projects before starting new ones!
I wonder how well I’ll keep to those? I don’t have much hope for any of them but I stuck to my guns on the Coca-Cola one.
I spent New Years in Dublin, still here in fact! Today we’re going back in to town so we can get to the shops that were closed yesterday. Mainly Smyths the toy shop and a few model shops.
I’ve bought myself a new camera, books (Robin Hobb – Assassin’s Quest and Brent Week’s – The Black Prism) as well as two new Moleskine’s (Red ruled and Book Journal). I love Moleskine’s they are my note book of choice.
Right, so I was tasked with a few chores before we go out today, I best get to them!
